Good Friday

There was not much happenings in church. Staircase f was empty for the first time in Good Friday's history. No extra boys to help out for veneration of the cross. Church was almost lifeless after each service, but a small group of us gathered after the 10am service, and we said, lets go somewhere and make this Friday enjoyable. Thus we decided to bowl at safra. We had a good time there about 7 of us, and we played 2 games. Later i went back to attend the 3 pm service, and was bored for awhile after that till ian ben and noel came to church around 5pm to help aunty bessie to give out candles for the Stations of the cross in the church carpark.

Later in the night i went to katong with the guys for dinner and had an enjoyale night with them. I'd say this Good Friday is rather quiet and solemn than the times where i would be with the servers serving the services, but it turned out well though i didnt serve.

Holy Thursday

This Year I was not rostered to serve any of the Holy Week masses. I didn't serve, but for holy thursday i followed my family to Sacred Heart church in tank road for the 6pm mass. Although it was small, it was really vibrant and warm welcoming. After the mass, i headed back to Trinity church to join the rest of the servers for adoration. However, there was no adoration to be done. The servers still stayed on in church together some in the main church, some down in the canteen. We did our final adoration as a society at 2330 by praying the rosary together, and i felt it was a good way to end of the final hour of adoration.

Picnic @ Sentosa

Last friday the boys and I went to sentosa. At first ben and i planned around 15 boys to come, but in the end only 8 came, the number may seem small but fr Tim joined us in later, it was unexpected, but we enjoyed ourself with him around. the night before we went to sentosa, we made sandwiches at ben's house.Ben noel iggy jj and me made spam and cheese sandwiches. The boys liked it. Fr tim is the best man, he came prepared, he brought his beach mat, bought nasi lemak for our lunch and drinks too. His personal favorite was his watermelon. The boys played in the water, soccer and my aerobie ball.
They tore the fins of it apart, but they enjoyed it even more. Weather was great too. The sun was up on that day... It turned out to be better than expected with fr tim too.

Jools holland

This is a late post, but it a week of high and lows and it has been raining the whole week. OK, it was very unexpected and unpredictable but i said yes immediately when edward asked if i wanted to go for a concert on wednesday evening on jools holland.

I didnt know who he was nor did i knew his style of music. But i was free and never been to a concert or into the esplanade theater. So i went and boy did i enjoy myself. I found that his style was rhythm & blues, jazz and classical. I liked when his 17 orchestra did a splendid Intro and got the crowd going. And there was some awesome solos on the trumpet, saxophone and piano and oh of course the drummer. He did like a 7 min drum solo on the second encore. Yes there was a second encore to the concert. It was great the whole encore kept the crowd in their seats or dancing.

Jools holland orchastra concert was the first every concert i went for, and like what what bala said, ive got 2 ticks on my list, one is going for a concert, the other going into a bar, Harrys's. Thanks for that night edward and bala, sorry about the pants.

Holidays

Well, im on holidays now, till 21st April. Results coming out this Friday. Its a long holiday, and holy week is just around the conner. Im still looking for some part time work here and there but the drive to really hunt for one is low. I was thinking of doing something enjoyable, its not only the money but what am i going to do. My parents suggested working in the expo or suntec for the weekends and its on events, like a computer fair or something like that. Thats a good idea but im still considering it. My other friends are on holidays too, some want to go out, some just stay at home. Im just looking for a little adventure.

Singapore Airshow

This blog is one week overdue but here it is. Went to the singapore aerospace show last weekend with my parents and destin. It was tough getting in as the crowd was overwhelming. I do not know much about planes except that they could fly. But the military hardware about planes looks cool and the stealth technology amazes me.

In the air display, they displayed a part on Singapore's military hardware and the rest were from the US and other countries. It was enjoyable to see the show and veiw the aircraft and do some photography. During the show, the Black knights demonstrated their acrobatics with the f-16, followed by the F/A-18, the golden eagle from korea the f-16 from the US, and a another planes from russia. followed by the A380 airbus and the finale was done by the Australians roulettes squadron.

Overall it was good, and as for destin, it was his first time going for an air show.
